Installation of the Lutron Claro wall plate is designed to be straightforward. Follow these steps for a secure and aesthetically pleasing result:
- Prepare the Electrical Box: Ensure power to the electrical box is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.
- Install Switches/Dimmers: Install your decorator-style switches, dimmers, or accessories into the electrical box. It is recommended to tighten the mounting screws just enough to hold the devices in place, allowing for slight adjustment later.
- Attach Back Plate: Separate the front plate from the back plate. Position the back plate over the installed devices and secure it to the wall box using the provided screws. Adjust the devices and back plate to ensure they are level and flush with the wall surface before fully tightening the screws.
- Snap on Front Plate: Align the screwless front plate with the back plate and gently press it into place until it snaps securely. Ensure all edges are flush.
