- Fusni sondën: Gently insert the metal probe into the soil of the plant you wish to test. For accurate readings, insert the probe deep enough to reach the root zone, typically 2/3 to 3/4 of the pot's depth. Avoid forcing the probe, which could damage plant roots or the meter.
- Read the Dial: Wait approximately 60 seconds for the needle on the dial to stabilize. The dial will indicate the moisture level:
- Red Zone (DRY): Indicates the soil is very dry and the plant likely needs water.
- Green Zone (MOIST): Indicates optimal moisture levels. Watering may not be necessary.
- Blue Zone (WET): Indicates the soil is very wet, potentially over-watered. Reduce watering frequency.
- Remove the Probe: After taking a reading, gently pull the probe straight out of the soil.

- Clean the probe thoroughly. Residue can interfere with conductivity.

- Ensure the probe is inserted into different spots in the soil to get an average reading, as moisture can vary.
- Make sure the probe is clean.
- Allow sufficient time (approx. 60 seconds) for the needle to stabilize.
