- When installing above a mirror, the fixture should be approximately 3/4 the width of the mirror, and never longer than the mirror itself.
- For double sink vanities or wider countertops, consider a larger fixture with multiple lights (4, 5, or 6 lights) sized about 3/4 the width of the mirror or no wider than the vanity cabinet. Alternatively, use two vanity lights of the same design, installing one over each sink for a symmetrical look.
- Mount fixtures above the bathroom mirror at about 75-80 inches from the floor.
- If using wall sconces on either side of the mirror, place them at eye level, approximately 65 inches from the floor, and 2-3 inches from the mirror's edge. They should be approximately 28-30 inches apart.
