Before first use, fully charge your Kindle Oasis. Connect the included USB 2.0 charging cable to the device and a 5W power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.

To power on, press and hold the power button located on the top edge of the device until the screen illuminates. To put the device to sleep, briefly press the power button. To power off completely, press and hold the power button until a power dialog appears, then select "Power Off".

The Kindle Oasis connects wirelessly to download content. During initial setup, you will be prompted to connect to a Wi-Fi network. The device supports 802.11b, g, or n standards with WEP, WPA, and WPA2 security. Amazon Wi-Fi simple setup can automatically connect to your home network.
Amazon Account Registration
Register your Kindle Oasis to your Amazon account to access your content library, Kindle Store, and cloud storage. Follow the on-screen prompts during initial setup to sign in with your Amazon credentials.
